So I'm doing the dash, front pad, windshield project and I found
what looks like a Pulled Broken Wire
This is a red wire with a red strip that comes off of the tach. Didn't find any wires broken anywhere

The '75 schematic in my Haynes manual has that wire being Red with white stripe and also goes to K3, G1, K16, and K2.

Where:
G1 = Fuel gauge
K3 = Oil pressure indicator light
K16 = Low fuel warning light
K2 = Generator charge indicator light (GEN light)

Can't tell which one that wire came from. Likely it pulled out of another spade connector.

Edit duh, can't type fast enough. What he said! ^^^

Is not that wire spliced off from the #11 terminal on the tach? If so, it's 12V power. Ck all your gauges and find out who's missing a 12V power source.

Anything not working? My electrical diagrams show that wires is spliced into the following:

- #11 on the tach
- power for the oil pressure indicator light
- power for the fuel gauge
- power for the low fuel light
- power for the gen charge light

It has all 5 of the connections.
Starting at 6, then goes to 7, then to 8, then to 2, and then to the tach at 11,
The chart above shows 2 red wires for 6,7,2 but not 8 and 11.

Since I can't find any other connection that is missing a wire or sign of a torn wire so
I think I will cap it off and put it back together and see if anything is not working.

Thanks for your input !!
