Hello to all,
I found these three cars (some assembly required) for sale here. The fella who owns them would part with all three 914's for ONLY 2500.00! The Good, The Bad and the Ugly A big bargin I think .... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/blink.gif) Are the four bolt wheels, Mahles? I think I may purchase the four bolt wheels and maybe take some parts off the green car. Comments, interest, analysis? John (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wavey.gif) PM me if you would like the seller's telephone number |

Yes they are Mahles and the ones on the Beach Boy/Chalon are Fuchs....if you want a 5 lug conversion, look at it...see if they are adaptors or actual 911 parts.
No interest at $2500............ |

Yes, the fella who owns it said he bought it from someone who had "shaved" it and made the targa bar removable ..... I bet that body flexes like room temperature, uncooked, bacon. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/happy11.gif) J |

2500 seems like an awful lot for those. My 3 parts cars cost me $400 total, and they included a complete running 2.0 drive train as well as lots of very usable interior parts. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif)

Yes ACB, I agree.... My sarcasm does not always translate very well. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/blink.gif) I told the fella, Mike, who owns the cars, I would put them up here for responses from all, but I sure don't want them. The Mahles on the "shaved car" intrigue me a bit though and the green car has some usable plastic pieces, rain tray, headlight surronds that I may purchase as pieces, but that is it. That 69 Jag Mark II does look like it would "clean-up" really well though. It looks like it is "all there" as far as the parts go. John |

Andy don't yell at me or I will put you on my "ignore list". (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/mueba.gif) The owner is a bit of a character, if he does not sell the three cars he intends to keep that "Chalon looking thing" with the wide Fuchs for a son of his about to finish his military service. J P.S. What do you consider " top $$$", in this case? |

I assume those are the 3 in the AZ republic? I might just put that number on a piece of paper and forget about it for a month or so.... I would like to steal that chalon junker. If those wheels are real??? (and they probably aren't)

And they look an awful lot like fakes .................... The Cap'n[/QUOTE] Oh Crusty one, what makes you say? The fella said they were real but without "pulling them" and "checking for foxes", I could not say. I have no use for them so they did not excite me much. J Do you think they make a conversion adapter so they might bolt up to my Ford 350 truck? I could get rid of the "duals" .... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/idea.gif) |
