Every once in a while, the fuel pump does not hum when I turn the ignition. So, I get out, open the engine lid and bang on the metal box on the relay board with my bottle opener attached to my keys. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smash.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smash.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smash.gif) Then, I get back in the car and turn the key. This has fixed the problem every time. Sometimes, more banging is required. I have no problem asking stupid questions (just see some earlier posts). (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/huh.gif)

What is the thing I'm banging on? Why does this work? Where can I get a replacement?

BTW - OC rocks
