Good for you, Dan. Looks like a nice one, and I figure I won't be done for at least 6 months, maybe 12.

Earlier this week I pulled the steering column and dash out, and installed pre-formed firewall insulation. Then I installed the rebuilt heater box, connected the new heater core using molded hoses, and refilled the cooling system. Started and warmed the engine, and tested the heater successfully.

After the heater was in place, I spent some time doing final tidying of all the new wiring under the dash. The new fusebox is mounted so that it will protrude into the back of the glovebox, after I cut a hole for it. The only wiring not done yet is the wiper motor, as I want to paint the windshield frame before fishing the wiring through it.

As for paint prep, I've started stripping the dash panel to bare metal. I hope to get primer and paint on it over the weekend, but there are other things around here that MUST be done before the weather turns, so the dash work might stretch later into next week.

Looking good! You probably said already, what color are you going with?

We have 15x8 Ultra rims with 31x10.5's. Too big, going down to Ultra 15x7's with the 3.75 backspace and probably 31x9.5's.

Original color - Sky View Blue. As here - https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1969-ford-bronco-93/

I've got 265/75R15 on 15x7 Ultras on mine. The 265s are 4-ply versions of 31x10.50s. Mine has a good 3" suspension lift and no body lift. Probably an inch more than needed, but it's what it came with. Yours looks like at least 1", maybe 2" body lift. Suspension stock?

3" suspension and 2" body = too much. Want a tire/wheel combo that can tuck under that rear fender. Then probably drop the "2 body lift and call it good.

Love that color, it's going to look great.

3" suspension should be fine for even the 31x10.50 on narrower 7" wheels. That's what mine has.

That's always such a good feeling to start getting color back on panels.

Read the flip down windshield was welded by Ford sometime in the 60's. Guess folks would drop the windshield and while driving, the windshield would slam back up.

Oops.

They had hold-down latches on the hood from '66-68. Eliminated them in '69 when they changed from vacuum to electric wipers. Windshields were still hinged for at least a few years after that. So early to mid-70s.

Dang that looks good! The updated wiring and fuse panel is also nice.

Chased and cleaned up some wiring today on ours. Fuel gauge doesn't work, wiring was wrong.
