Thanks for NOT using those ugly black fender lips. 90% of the old Broncos in my area have been ruined with a sawz-all and those cheap add-on's In the Bronco community, rigs with the original low fender openings like mine are referred to as 'uncut'. And these days, there is a preference among a sizable number of enthusiasts for uncut Broncos. There is a downside, of course. Uncut Broncos make fitment of modern size tires and wheels very difficult, unless you have 2-3" of lift, which brings a whole different set of compromises. A cut Bronco is much easier to fit decent size tires on w/o all the lift mess. Or, these days you can buy replacement quarter panels with wheel openings that match the front, without the ugly add-on flares. A good option if you need a new body or replacement quarter panels. But in this case, mine had never been cut in all its 50+ years. No way I would cut a survivor like this just to make tire fitment easier. |
