I've seen a few pics of cars with what looks like Aluminum rims on the bezel , is this a part that is fitted or have the edges of the Bezel Rims been rubbed down to achieve this look

Several different members have made them over the years that clip over the top of the gauge. Sellers on Ebay have them for 911's. One is out of Poland. Might sell you a set for a 914.

I ordered mine from an outfit in germany years ago. A member here was making them went by the name of Spunone, he sold his teener an no longer is on the board. Good luck in you quest to find these.
