I am planning to go to The Werks Reunion Amelia Island March 9, 2018.
I see that registration opens Dec. 15, 2017. The PCA web site states one can register
at the event 7:00 am.
Any tips learned from last year.

Thanks,
Bruce

Yes, I have been to the Concours show many times.
I did not go to the PCA Werks Reunion last year (first year in Fla.) which is on Friday before the Concours show. I think I read they had 800 Porsches for the one day reunion. Just wondering how the heck they coordinated that many cars in to a field for one day. Just was looking for some advice from anyone who went last year.( Also on resignation.)

Thanks,
Bruce

I was there last year in one of my Boxsters (they were celebrating Boxsters last year).

Get a hotel early.

Stay on the Georgia side....much cheaper and a pretty short drive

Get there early. Traffic was worst after 8-8:30

Bring food and water. They claim they will have vendors . Last year there wasn't much available (especially in the morning). The organizers probably learned their lesson and will do better this year.

Bring a chair, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen

Plan to walk...a lot. There is some GREAT stuff to see.

Nice east coast alternative (or addition) to going to Rennfest in the fall at Laguna Seca. Between these two events and the PCA Parade in Missouri (at the Tan-ter-a Resort in Lake of the Ozarks), there should be no excuse for anyone to not get their Porsche fix.

Thanks Guy's,
I've already booked a hotel in Ga. Most of the hotels I checked only had a few rooms left. The featured Porsche this year is the 356 Outlaw, so I'm going to drive my 62 Karmann hardtop (Notchback) . It has a type 4 (914) 180 hp motor in it.
Hope to spend most of my time looking at 914"s, just finishing up on a 914-6 and plain on doing a 914-4, I have on the back burner for a while.
Hope to meet many fourteeners there.

thanks again,
Bruce
