Hi,

Is there a specific way - opening - that the main cable from the battery gets back from the topside of the engine to the starter motor? Or does it just slip between the rubber on the engine tray surround?

There is a couple of holes on the rear engine tin. One of them is for that.

And be sure any rubber grommets are properly installed as rubbing through the cable’s insulation would be a bad thing!

I purchased a fire car that had the cable wear through at the tin. Wrecked a very rust free 74 2.0. No grommet
