Thanks for all the kind words, advise and welcome wishes. I have been working on a spreadsheet for the build, and starting a budget. Of course my daughter is poring over pictures. She is leaning towards a silver car. After painting my last E30 in Polaris, I swore Id never do another silver car.....OMG I hope she changes her mind.

QUOTE(Aidan @ Dec 26 2017, 09:33 PM) *

Greetings, I am new to your board but not to the make or model. I have decided to build a 914 for my daughters 16th birthday. Contemporary logic is always buy the best car you can afford, however I can do all the work and its a father daughter project so we will be buying the most rust free car we can find, as put some sweat equity into the project.

I look forward to being a positive member, making new friends, and learning from the vast knowledge base.

I will pour over the classifieds, craigslist, etc etc, but I am looking for a candidate if anyone has leads.

Thanks for having me/us.

Some of the Colorado folks chimed me in your wants..
go to Concour Laguna Blue here...it is too much of a temptation..
so the price is lowered...ad updated..PM me with questions..or send your # too..Thanx Rx

Welcome to our World (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome.png)
I'm in DeLand, got a few parts and a little knowledge and a couple of cars.
Good tubs are hard to find. A roller from the the other west coast costs under $1K to ship.
We used to have a kid here named "Grasshopper", I shipped him a tub and it has not been used. I believe this car is near Atlanta.
Grasshopper is Berry Fuller Jr.
Berry Fuller Sr. Has the tub, I have a message from him I'll try to get in touch with him.

Here is the Laguna Blue shell Rex was talking about.

It is a stunner - just gorgeous.

No Beck body work, just a yellow roller. Not much rust.
