1974 Porsche 914, original Phoenix Red (orange paint code). Came with rear defog & fog light options. Currently registered, I have clean title in my name, it's a running, driving, and insured car that isn't going to fold in half. It was originally purchased in Walnut Creek, a Northern California car that moved to SoCal many years ago. Speedo replaced, so 66k showing is not accurate for car. Drives straight, no vibration, have driven on freeway for hour round trip, temp stays fine.

Structural- underneath is now good as new, maybe better: Has just had extensive structural work over the last three years. Spent much of it on the jackstands. Numerous structural upgrades inside cabin on lower firewall and on the inner longitudinals. Lower inner firewall sections repaired first and then got extra layer of stiffening plug welded on for auto-x. A 250 pound man can now jump on door sills with no flex in the body at all. Doors were kept in place and gaps monitored during work. Floor pan had tar fully removed & stripped, rear floor pan corners were replaced, inside fully coated with POR-15. Both Hell holes were found solid. Jack point areas were rotten tho, so they were fully repaired and then reinforced with extra layer using RD and donor car panels. New jack points and triangular gussets were installed. Longitudinals also got an internal reinforcement with flat bar that fully ties suspension consoles, engine mounts and longitudinals all together, extending all the way forward to the seat cross member. Flat bar is hidden inside the longitudinal and structure looks stock. Both left and right longitudinals got extra layers inside the cabin and outside using RD panels or OEM donor panels. Car feels very stiff as if would easily lift a wheel off the ground when transitioning a gutter or driveway curb. Tub feels like it won't flex, or twist and will make the suspension do the work. A new steel RD right side sail panel was welded in to fix the passenger roll bar where they rust at the holes under the vinyl and trim. Have photos that track progress of the mig welding/structural repairs & upgrades. Minor rust repairs done around windshield and rear tail lights. Some repairs still needed at cowl and both front fenders.

Interior - new from 914Rubber: center 3 guage console, new FG door panels, new seat upholstery recovery kits installed, new seat handles, drilled aluminum footboards. LED courtesy lights, LED bulbs in guages except alternator indicator light that must remain incandescent to excite alternator windings and make alternator work properly.

Body: '74 replacement doors swapped on that were in better shape. custom FG chin spoiler. All new rubber from 914Rubber ($1000+ value). Paint on body was stripped, etched, primed, blocked and temporary paint job. Bumpers perfectly straight and repainted. headlights restored, 4 FG fender flares, rears on with stainless fasteners. new rennwest trunk hinges, trunk lid shocks from Camp914. Have good replacement quarters for extra cost if you want to return to narrow body.

Suspension: PMB 5 lug conversion, Upgraded stiff front track torsion bars, new front delrin suspension bushings, new rear polygraphite trailing arm suspension bushings. Front thru body sway bar with adjustable drop links. Rear 200lb+ coil springs over HD shocks. 15x7 fake fuchs, older yokohama 205x55x15

Brakes: new 5 lug rotors, pads, new BMW 320 front calipers increase pad size, new 19mm master cylinder, rebuilt rear calipers. New flex brake lines, new parking brake cables. New Pedal set, new steel floor reinforcement under pedals.

Electrical: Red Top optima, new alternator, decklid battery cutoff switch, LED gages lites, LED Stop, Tail, and Turn bulbs. Hella euro tail lenses. Repaired ignition with good working switch. remote start button in engine bay.

Fuel: new stainless fuel lines in tunnel and engine bay. New rubber fuel lines. Fuel tank has been cleaned & internally sealed with POR-15 tank product. Fuel level guage works. Original type 3 port fuel pump still located in engine bay. New injector lines and O-ring seals.

Engine: Appears to be original 1.8 engine with very good working Ljet. All new vacuum hoses, new Clewett Engineering armor braided red plug wires. In-line fuel pressure guage makes easy troubleshooting. Starts right up just turning key and idles nice. Healthy sound with European equal length headers and Magnaflow muffler. Some oil drips. Unknown time on engine or if ever rebuilt. Still running points and blue Bosch coil. Engine and engine bay still needs freshening. Had planned to rebuild engine and possibly increase to 2056 keeping Ljet with bigger throttle body and upsized injectors.

Gearbox: New bronze shift bushings, shifts good, gear oil changed, new right angle speedo drive, gear and seals.

Project items are still left to do, but has all needed parts waiting. Front fenders and cowl have some rust spots to be addressed. Have L&R good spare front fenders. Front FG fender flares can then be put on or left off. Still have Passenger side RD steel inner longitudinal part to add for reinforcement as well as RD pieces to reinforce the jack point area on the passenger side, then reattach the sill. New battery tray awaits. Car should get blocked and guide coat, then final paint.

Have too many P-cars to work on & drive including another really nice 914. This one was well on its way to restoration with upgraded handling.

$10,500 Price reflects the many Restoration Design steel replacement and reinforcement panels, new interior/upholstery on seats, doors & console, all new rubber, 5 lug and fuchs upgrade, suspension and brake upgrades, clear title & license paid thru Dec 2018, and numerous other new parts. Hundreds of hours of labor welding on structural upgrade, bodywork, and restoration is my loss/your gain at this price. Attached ImageAttached Image

Seems like it could be a great deal for someone here. I too would recommend you post a lot of photos. Photos of the metal repair work go a long way to selling a car. GLWTS. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
