I have a CraneCams XR700 Ignition box mounted in my trunk and the wires fed into the engine bay but it isn't hooked up. Is this compatable with my FlameThrower coil? 2 wires come off of it and are labled Coil +/- and then there is a 3 prong pigtail but I don't have the other end. I assume this serves the same purpose as a MSD box.
Should I hook it up or sell it? Luke D Attached image(s) |

Not sure. I do have electronic points in the car but not sure how to identify what they are. I have another distributor with elec. points installed on it in a box but not sure how to identify. Plus I have a petronix box that has an uninstalled elec points. So maybe I have three different systems.

if your car has points in it, w/ a small condenser on the side of the dist, then someone had the xr700 hooked up and disconnected it. If your other dist. has the grey/white/black wires coming out w/ a pigtail then that would be your dist. w/ the xr700 internals. I hooked mine up, works fine. Seems that it would beat messing w/ points constantly.
