I am putting in a set of turbo tie rods and the boots have that white oxidized rubber look and I was going to wipe them with something before I put them on.

I have oil, grease (various), silicone, and glycerin.

I overthink everything, but I seem to recall some rubbers hate certain treatments like silicone.

Im going to replace the CV boots soon too, so what's best for them?

What do you use?
