My car will be staying with a mechanic for the next 2 weeks or so. The engine is leaking too much and I'm having it resealed. Looks like I'll be driving on of our Fords. I can flat tow a car with my Flex, if anyone would rather ride with us. I have the tow bar that gets bolted to the car

I'll bring along some tow bar brackets so if a support vehicle is needed you could bolt right up.

With family in Seattle (North Bend) we have done 90 a lot. That was the original plan, but now we are thinking of 90 and then dipping south to see the Tetons. The last time we were there Yellowstone was on fire.

With a conversion I have to be thinking 911 and 914 spares. Looking forward to seeing all y'all.

I was just looking at the map and if you're dipping down to the Tetons you'd be hooking into Boise to continue out. I'm thinking of driving up to join in the fun and if I do, we could meet up around there and I could show you the coool way to get there! Whaddya think? Sounds good, I’ll pm you when we get started West. Looked into the lodge and even though it would be grand, 350 is kinda steep for one night, so maybe staying in Jackson Hole. Fixed the electric windshield washer line to Adam. Leaked, but thought it was the tank.

Going to take off early Wednesday morning from Sacramento - taking I5 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
Trying out the flat towing system for the first time.

We are leaving Wednesday* as well, will be taking the twin-turbo so might be difficult to drive in a caravan with a trailer (IMG:style_emoticons/default/MDB2.gif)

PM me your phone number if you want to.

*still in hospital from having 2 liters of fluid removed from lung cavities and waiting for Doctors blessing to say okay to travel, trying to get my O2 levels up so they don't send me home with an oxygen tank....hmmm, could we plumb that into the turbo motor for a little more speed?

Anyone interested in splitting a room for Thurs and Fri? This is definitely last minute for me but I'm trying to get it together for next weekend. I've already had lots of help for doing this so I'm throwing this out there - I'll also be thumbing for a passenger seat if everything works out! Thanks, Mike

Good luck! I leave tomorrow. Just picked up an extra relay and other spares. I realized I am oriented towards spares for the 2056 not the 3.2. Packed my clothes today, and have them loaded. My passenger is being extraordinarily brave in packing a duffel of sorts. The hair dryer is redundant with the top in the trunk. With my clothes. Getting cooked. She says she isn’t about to drive, but one of us has been in the seat of a logging truck, and it ain’t me, so I know we are golden.

I am picturing you on some sort of spin cycle. I hope it goes well. Looking forward to meeting you, whether you can make it or not. Know you will if you can.

Getting discharged in 20 minutes, going home with oxygen, but at rate I have recovered in the last 3 days they think I will not need to take any on my trip.

Looking forward to meeting you as well.
