Anyone interested in an eastern Massachusetts gathering to help Bruce get his car running well. I just don't know enough about these things to be of much help.

I've recommended CFR for repair of the battery and hell hole inspection, and LFCG for basic repairs, but if we (as a group) can get it done faster and cheaper...

I'll help supply the eats and drinks if others can supply the tools and know-how. Parts advice and supply could be of help too.

Where in Eastern Mass? You are probably 1-2 hours from me. Maybe I missed what needs to be done in another post, but what are you considering getting done?

I haven't done a lot of fuel injection work in recent years, but I've done everything but transmission work at least once. I can also weld and have welder.

Hey Dave, wasn't that car there 2 years ago! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif)

Anyway, I'm not sure how much time I'll have and I'm
certainly not an expert at actually fixing things, but I do
have a bunch of the tools saved up.

He's been posting a bit on the items that he's fighting with now. I thing the VR will get done sooner than later. It also needs help with grounding and FI tuning. It would be nice to get all 65hp out of the car. Parts needed are the drivers side door handle, headers or HEs, muffler, and more I'm sure.

Yeah, this is the car that was here two years ago. It made it's way down to SC, sat a lot. Got beat up by it's DACO. Now the car and owner are back in MA for quite some time. Bruce is house hunting so I'd like to help him by getting his daily driver running well.

Besides, we need a party in this area! Fixing the car is just an excuse.

PS; Ed, I promise you won't need to do any tranny work. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

I'll need to converse with Bruce a bit before selecting a date. I suppose my wife, Amy should know when to expect a bunch of people too.

Suggestions welcome.

I'd be up for a 914 gathering. The June calender is filling quickly, but if I can make it I'll be there. I'll have plenty of parts once I pick up the 2 parts cars I just bought. That won't be till the end of June though.

It seams that Bruce took my advice and sent the car to Little Foreign Car Garage in Waltham. That means there is no need to fix something.

But (there's always a butt, right "Z"), I still want to do something. Two years ago I had a great turn out, Ihope to recreate that again. In August, I'll have an All Model Porsche Gathering and include a much longer and better planned ramble than the last time.

If anyone is interested in helping out with this, it would be greatly appreciated.
