Tried search but no luck.......or no skill.
Recently there was a thread that illustrated a successful method (with pictures !) of cleaning and re-taping a chassis harness. Perhaps a link ? TIA Rory |

Tangerine Racing has it, again I have proven I memorized Chris's site.Bottom right of this page scroll al the way down. You can also get wider stuff on Amazon and run it through a saw if need be. The last part can be tricky.

Great job, very good info. Where did you source the narrow tapes ? and the OE type connectors ? TIA Rory Thanks. I'm glad that info is useful. I need to update it and have been thinking about writing it up as a stand alone how-to since I haven't seen one. I got both the cloth and vinyl tape on ebay (follow those links), but, like Stephen said, Tangerine has the cloth. 914rubber carries it too. I've gotten the terminals at digikey.com for dirt cheap. Here are part numbers: I haven't been able to find exact match ring terminals for grounds and batter terminals on digikey. I'm guessing they are in there, I just can't find them. I think I've sourced them from this motorcycle restoration supply, but haven't had them in hand to see yet. They also have most (if not all) of the AMP/FASTON spade terminals so might be a good one stop shop compared to digikey. Prices look good too. Good luck! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |
