All,
It's time to put a new set of tires on my car for spring. The ones on it now have only 8,000 miles on them and look like new; zero cracks or checking but they were put on the car by the previous owner in 2000! Time for a new set. Definitely want to stay with stock OEM appearance and size since the car is all original. Tom you mentioned at one point the Bockley's at Lucas tire but I noticed that they say that they are new old stock manufactured in 2011? I'm thinking of the Vredestein sprint classics. Any suggestions for better OEM type tires with original appearance? If not, I'll go Sprint Classics. Thanks in advance. |

Thanks to all for your help and comments. I decided to go with the Pirelli Cinturato 165VR15's. Priced at $249....so not cheap but I like the tire and the tread pattern.
Cal, very interesting that you can have the tires shipped from the UK at no cost but from the US is $105. Ah well....I'll have them in 4 days. Anyone need a set of 18 year old tires with plenty of miles left on them in the ATL area? Good enough for for use with a roller. |
