I am changing out brake hoses on a '74. "The dates are on the hoses for a reason"
. The hoses removed were dated 1988. The prior owner didn't do his own work so I am amazed that his regular wrench didn't bother to look. Thirty year old hoses.......gawd what is wrong with people? Tires and brake hoses have dates. Use them.............. |

While your in there give your front tire a good "shake" verifying the front end is tight. Something the "shake" wont show though- I recently discovered the PO had installed early style 911 struts on the factory later style ball joints. It physically fits and was tight, but not meant to go together and potentially dangerous. |
