If so, please post a pic and which model you used. TIA, Kent. I’m running them. Work great!! I can take a picture tonight and dig up the model. The off the shelf ones are too long. They do not retract all the way on there own. You can pay extra and get them shorter. I have to retract the last foot manually. |

Yes, me too. They are nice but with the latest pair, the chrome belt guide didn't fit, for some reason.
On a positive note, they were great to work with on the customization I wanted: - added length due to relocating the retractor lower on the firewall - different buckle (one that would fit through the belt slots in the seats I'm running - changed from the "cable" style to a belt on the fixed side Great stuff all around. I used them for my '73 2.0 I had them put new belts (in red) on the exisitng mechanism as it worked fine. Just wanted new belts as the originals were 40+ years old.
Everything works as original- happy with their work and turn around time. |

I wasn’t aware that one of their retractable models would fit my ‘70. Would love to install a retract but the non-retract would be OK too. Looking for Model #’s, what length, etc. Thanks to all. I won’t bother Tygaboy for his numbers. Elan is going to blast that 914 into Space the way that immaculate build is going. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) JK, it is a work of Art. |

Oops - forgot to mention, I also ordered the Seat Belt Planet "regular" 914 belt for a '74 I had. No changes, just the way they sell them. They worked great, retracted all the way, no issues.
That said, I'd recommend you call them and chat about what you're thinking. I worked with a guy named Mike and he was great - very accommodating, helpful, etc. Hope that helps. Attached thumbnail(s) |

I bought a set and had to grind the bottom of the mounting plate to fit in the recess. car is 73
But once that was done they fit and work perfectly. of course your seat belt light will no longer work. no provision for that with these belt sets. |

I had to trim the bottom of the mounting plate to get them to fit in the recess of my 74 as well. |

I just ordered from them on Monday. Got an immediate email and found out they are local to me. Seems like good communication so far.
