https://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/pts/d...6486900155.html

Im gonna offer 700

But are these supposed to be polished
Dont recall ever seeing them like this

And why would someone go thru all the trouble of restoration just to sell em off ?

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) That would be a pretty insulting offer. Besides they look good polished, and are a bitch to do. Lots of work went into those. I had some on my 75 Malaga.

I hadn't seen these wheels polished in the past. What a great look.

"Feel free to ask any questions that you might have."

Why would you spend all that money to have them polished instead of restored just to sell them to a smaller market?

How do you re-texture them? I have a set where the texture is not even any more. Thanks

Not surprised that the guy who polished those wheels would also put them on his dining room table (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I remember a guy selling a set on the Samba back when. He was very proud of them indeed--asking something like $1200 for a set when the standard ones were going for $400. "But these are FULLY POLISHED!" was his rebuttal.

At least this is a whole lot more reasonable.

I'm not a polished or chrome wheel guy, but some people are. Maybe some VW owner would see value in them?

BTW they look fine on the red car above

They look nice polished. I can't knock the guy' price on them given that he includes replated lugs and center caps.

However, I have owned a set of polished aluminum rims. It is like a marriage without love. I will never do it again.

If you like Mahle rims, I would be glad to make you a deal on mine for far less.
