Gosh darn of those things aren't under a lot of tension. Wow.

If my car is missing the hoop that the rods go trough I assume I need to cut this one off and reinstall it?

Thank you for the reply. Is a loop, strictly speaking, even needed?

My 75 has an injection molded piece that the bars goes thru.

Tuff to see, but there is a screw that holds the plastic to the hood. Even if the screw is removed, I don't know if the bars would come out. They would have to tho. Your loop looks big enough to get the bent end thru it.

Not surprisingly, this is probably the only screw on this car that i have NOT removed. Nor all the undercoating my PO sprayed under there.

And dammit, now that I see it, it looks to be broken. Anyone have one to send me? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/KMA.gif)
