Companion for the TIG. It arrived today and I went to get a new bottle of MIG mix (75 argon, 25 CO2).

And ran the first bead. The MIG is going to take over almost all of the mild steel welding in the garage:

Funny. It took me a while to realize that the club sticker was on there. They should have the club sticker from the factory.

Miller 175. 30% duty cycle, "welds up to 1/4 inch", runs just a hair over $700

Got mine local from a great welding shop for $650. It pays to shop around when you're looking at that kinda $$$. Also nice to have local support.

Nice Joe.

Nice Joe.

$667 delivered from Indiana Oxygen (eBay). I also got my TIG from them.
$185 for 125cf bottle.
$43 to fill it.
$23 for .030 wire.

I already have a helmet, but a decent one runs around $150.

I'd like to buy local but I'm having trouble finding pricing lower than ebay with no tax and free shipping to boot. I think I'm going to buy from these guys:

Indiana Oxygen

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) same place as Joe, good to know.

I got my miller 175 from Indiana Oxygen as well, great prices and fantastic customer service. I got the welder, cart, 80cf bottle, a full set of liners (in all sizes) set of spare nozzles and tips all about $900 ready to roll. Did the harbor freight autodarkening helmet for cheep.
