We recently adopted another 914. This is Elwood. He is a 1970 Factory Six.

Attached Image

He has been with us about a month, and he spent over a week at Mayo Performance in Euless getting appraised for insurance purposes. He is now in the garage with his two brothers, Frody and Igor.

That is the view out our garage door.

Owning a real six was something Betty and I never thought would happen to us. So we want to thank Lawrence "Rusty" B.. He was the previous caretaker of Elwood, and we are honored that he would choose us to be Elwood's new guardians.

But that doesn't exempt him from LOTS Of DAPO jokes!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Probably not. I have a number of items to fix before He is on the road again.

Spent today bleeding the brakes (Newly rebuilt ) and hooking up the park brake.

Still have to drain the tank, install new SS fuel lines and the factory pump. Then clean out the jets in the carbs.

Plus an oil change.

Apparently Alabama doesn't require a vehicle safety inspection, as the horn and park brake didn't work. Also, the license plate lights are completely missing. But I gotta have them working here in Texas. So new license plate lights are n the way, I have a set of Hella horns to install, and the park brake handle was replaced with a non-folding one.

Got to see Clay's new baby this weekend. Never actually seen a real -6 before. It's going to be an awesome car when he's done with it! Congrats.
