It has been difficult for me to find a good tire installer—all I am looking for is someone close who is a decent price who won't trash my wheels. Everyone just seems to want to do it fast, and I end up with sloppy weight installation, and scratched rims from cheap machines or inattentive technicians.

My girlfriend’s 997 needed some tires so after looking around I found ZipTire. (Ziptire.net).
I have no affiliation with them.

It is a service where he comes out to you with a van and does it on site.
The company is started by an ex-racer and rally driver. He is incredibly meticulous—and careful. He will take the time to clean up the tape from old weight installs and shift the tire on the rim to minimize the number of weights he has to use.

I called him, he ordered the tires, Pilot PS4s, brought ‘em out and installed and took the old ones away. He spent over two hours doing the job because he spent so much time getting the wheels cleaned up before he installed. The cost before taxes installed was only about $80 more than what Tirerack wanted to get them to me uninstalled—and I think he replaced som sensor seals as well. It had been a long time since I have been so happy with a service provider of anything.

Oh, and yes he pointed the bottom of the crests at the valve stems with out me having to ask

Wish we had something like this in the San Diego area. So hard to find someone who will take the time to do it right. I sure don't mind paying more for good service and attention to detail, to bad most tire shops don't get that concept. Thanks for sharing.

That must have been Andrew Comrie. Big guy that looks like he should be doing Remington Shaver commercials. Broke out on his own last rear and is doing pretty well. He has a good focus - upper end vehicles, mobile service and all the chicks feel like they just got serviced by Fabio the tire guy.

We could use him the greater PHX area... but actually Discount Tire has done pretty well by me, including the 914 and centerlocks on my GT3...

Andrew came over to my shop and put on 4 tires and balanced the wheels and pointed out that the balance was now to where it was supposed to be and that the body shop that changed out the wheel from an accident that I had with a flat bed tow truck put a refurbished one that was not 100% told me how much of my brakes where left and he does not do brakes

So the man came on time, price was very good and it was less that the guy down the street does tires for me.

I will use him for all my tire needs. It is just easer and cost less. You can buy from him or from any tire people and have the tires delivered to him and he will bring them out and install them.

Today, I think this is a super bargain and he even cleaned my dirty wheels on my Lexus.

Sounds interesting, I wonder how far south he’ll go? Although I’m happy not to need tires now $$$, I kinda wish I could check this out for myself...
