Porsche 911 - used by the Dutch Highway Patrol (Rijkspolitie). Not a fake or remake; original, except for the engine: there's another engine installed. Those cars were driven in anger, 24/7/365 Only off the road for a new crew every 8 hrs and maintenance. Installing a new engine was cheaper & faster than a rebuild.

When I was a young boy, these cars were iconic. The Rijkspolite started using 356'es, then went along with the changing model range of Porsche over the years. They stopped using them in the early 90s, I think. Too expensive.

Bonham's

Nowadays, The Highway Patrol uses a highly tuned Audi A6 TDI. Sort of R6 in TDI disguise.

One of the Top Gear episodes covered this subject. Very interesting.
