$55 (ConUS shipping included) gets you the rear trunk seal that wraps around the rear trunk opening and the seal that separates the engine bay from the rear trunk.

Just curious what the seal looks like on the tight corners at the back of the trunk.

Not sure if these are different from the ones I purchased but the ones I got from 914 Rubber made the factory ones look pathetic.
Hard to see a downside to buying these. |

What I was getting at was the seals don't look factory more generic, but I found that that type of seal didn't work as well on those corners. The height that works on the upper bulkhead holds it up in the main seal where there is less clearance. maybe I'm wrong, just curios as to how it closes as I was not able to make the generic seals I had found work well.

This is a TrimLock product that I used to sell regularly years ago. These are just left over sets that I have. It occurred to me after I posted this that 914rubber might have a competing product so I checked their website and sure enough they do. I like the ridges theirs has on the bulb. Seeing as how their seal might be better and the sets I have are older inventory, I'm lowing the price to $40 shipped per set.
This seal does look rather generic for sure but seems to make the corner pretty well, has a soft compressible bead and a metal insert that holds onto the body very tightly. I have not tested it to see how well it seals to the deckled but the lid shuts easily on the seal. |

If you don't want perfect, brand new, or concours, this is one shape that was easy to find at pull-a-part. IIRC a ford truck matches pretty good. pricing something like $0.25 per foot. Our lower door frames and the rear trunk are the ones I remember pulling from a junk yard.
I can park by the exit and the dude let me go out and try them out before I paid. |

bump - I have enough material to make about 3-4 more sets. Thanks Bought the first kit Glenn sold and fitted it yesterday, took a gamble but took his word...no need for worry, great fitment and very happy with the quality, trunk now sealed. Corner fitment is tight and requires the pinch weld to be opened up a bit but fit on the curve is good. Thanks Glenn (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) . |
