Doubt it was bored out. Larger pistons and cylinders are available as are stroke kits.

A friend builds VW engines that make 150 horsepower without breaking a sweat. These are NOT Type IV's. Not difficult and very reliable especially with the new cases like the White Rhino.
FAT or Jake Baby can easily squeeze 200 out of a Type IV.

Not saying not possible, but no dyno chart in ad, no real information about the build. Not trying very hard to sell the car.

Don't the Raby Type 4 engines hit 200 HP? Apparently they are working on the Type-4 site so I can't look it up...

Only thing that beats cubic centimeters is cubic dollars!

Even at a 2.7 L displacement it would have to have some very nice other goodies to get to the claimed HP. Yes Raby has done 200 HP but he is a God among engine builders and has invested massive time and money into research to not only get HP, but more importantly to get usable torque.

You can have a massive HP engine that makes all of the HP and torque in the wrong places and get smoked by a smaller HP engine that works.

I thought Raby's motors started at 200hp now and went up from there? The biggest and baddest I've heard was a mid 300hp motor on 3+liters.

I had a race only 2 liter put 146 to wheels with a relatively flat torque curve. Lobe centers were 110 to help with torque. I bet a big street motor could do it.
