I leave the shop, and the deluge began... rain coming down like a tidal wave.. I get out to I-95, and the rain stops, as I make my left onto the ramp... by the bottom of the ramp, it wasn't raining, but it was misting.. so fine a mist.. and bright sun...

Every car traveling East had a beautiful golden halo, with a blue-violet band around the edges, and all the cars traveling West had a blue-violet halo, with a gold band..

Was surreal.

Pretty anyhow.. whatever.

Up here, we can get rain and sunshine at the same time. Wierd stuff, but it can bring upon some pretty cool effects just like that.

I just saw on the Weather channel (sorry dont know where) hail the size of golfballs. One reporter held a couple in her hands, and they measured about 1 1/2 inches across. Hope all the 14's were under shelter!

I'll bet the Sun would look awsome, if it exploded! I love to see nature doing it's thing!

I remember seeing stuff like that back in the sixties and I didn't even have to leave the house! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/w00t.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

This afternoon in the Denver metro area we got some terrible rain. I-25 (main thoroughfare thru town) was almost completely flooded southbound. I'm glad I was watching this from home. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/unsure.gif) 'Gumball size' hail covering the streets south of town and flooding all over the place.

I've just got a nice steady shower here up north. No complaints and no watering today! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Hey!

Be nice! I believe him! I've seen some unique stuff too...

One time (in the 70's)my wife and I were headed north up the Florida Turnpike from Lauderdale and saw the end of the rainbow!

It was raining on the side of the road (but not on the road) and the sun was low in the west. The rainbow traveled along with the car and came into the car in a point. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)

The pot of gold was the yellow bug I was driving and the redheaded wife sitting next to me. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/mueba.gif)

A freak in a car in front of us was leaning out the window and kept trying to grab the rainbow....

That rainbow traveled with us for about 10 miles.....

A coupla years ago while flying Comair to KC early one morning, I saw a circular colored spot on the window. A litle looking had it moving with my head.... then the pilot flew into a cloud canyon and the spot resolved itself as a circular rainbow that moved in and out with the bumps on the cloud.. then the black shadow of the plane appeared in the center of the circular rainbow and this went on for about 5 minutes ....

What's wrong with the rest of ya!... Don't ya look out the widows?

Ken

If you remember the sixties, you obviously weren't there (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/cool_shades.gif)
