Looking for anyone who has had good results with a distributor re-curve rebuild.
The engine is a stock 1981 911 SC converted to carbs Of course Jerry Woods is well known.....anyone else ? |

For anywhere close to $1000, I'd look into going with a crankfire set up.

For anywhere close to $1000, I'd look into going with a crankfire set up. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) If a frugal DYI'er for about $500 you can do a megajolt/E using proven reliable Ford EDIS parts, or I believe you can run MS as ignition only, which would give you the option of FI in the future. Both have programmable curves and both could be adapted to a future twin plug. The trigger wheel isn't that hard to do, but for $190 ($220 with AC) goingsuperfast.com has a nice kit that includes pulley, trigger wheel, sensor mount and dizzy hole plug. About 3/4 way down the page. http://goingsuperfast.com/Porsche.html I used a Patrick twin plug dizzy, but only because I got a deal (practically steal) on the dizzy with wires. |
