I realized I forgot to buy the bolts when I bought the new gear (and my cam did not come with bolts), I cannot justify spending close to $25 for shipping alone for 5 bolts (plus another $6 to $10 for the bolts).

A quick google shows the bolts as being 5/16-24 , sound right?

The original bolts were rivets.

Your aftermarket cam will use whatever bolts the cam grinder (or manufacturer) tapped the holes for.

Whose cam is it?

Hopefully the grinder can tell you; that's an unfortunate size to test since M8x1 is pretty close to 5/16-24...

I was asking earlier since I was work and wanted to stop on the way home, no big deal to wait for Marks offer.

Decided to check once I got home, metric is close or at least my checker wouldn't thread all the way in.

The 5/16-24 fit perfect.
