They look like S&K tools....they should be online or a dealer near you.

like the sandbox says: A man will pay $2.00 for a $1.00 item he needs. A woman will pay $1.00 for a $2.00 item she doesn't need. M |

I have found that there are generic FLAPS and professional FLAPS.
Generics carry things like fake sheepskin seat covers, have a whole aisle dedicated to "apperance" accesories, sell cheapo pocket rockets which are usually parked out front, and are manned by minimum wage workers that spend the majoritiy of their time checking out the stuff in the apperance accessory aisle. The professional shops are where the local service guys go for parts, special tools, and they are manned by guys (sometimes gals) who know cars, parts, and tools. NAPA sells a triple square 12 point tool that you can get at a pro FLAPS. The part number was posted in a thread 6 to 8 months ago but I'll be damned if I can find it. I did pull a picture of the tool off of an old thread. See below. I found that I had a combination of 12 point and allen hex bolts on my CV joints. You need to clean all of them to make sure of what you have. Either tool can go into either type of bolt head with a little force. You could screw the head up if you try to remove a 12 point bolt with an allen wrench. Attached image(s) |

Both Autozone and Pepboys stock this tool.
You will probably have to look around on the shelves yourself (I did) because they told me they didn't carry anything like this. The one at Pepboys is made by Lisle and the one I bought from Autozone is a generic "OEM" brand made in Taiwan. Depending on the store you go to (at least around here in Dallas) you may have to show them the picture of the back of the label..... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) Cost is around $10-$12. --- Bill Attached image(s) |
