Hey everyone,

I was cleaning out my dad's garage and found some axles and CV's and a distributor off his 914-6 (sold the car to a member on here about 10 years ago).

Any idea what their value and who might want/need them? We are located in Carlsbad, CA.

Thanks for any help.

I’m interested in the CVs if you confirm they are 914-6 spline count vs 914-4

I counted, an I think I can count 26 splines... let me know if that helps. I am not a Porsche guy so you would have to tell me what they are off of, but it should be 914-6.

Interesting info on the box. They show to be VW bus CV's. Hence the 211 number BUT the spline count should be 33. They do have the 6 bolt holes and NOT 4 holes and two pins as the -6 should have.

Measure the CV's and see if they are 100mm.

Thanks for helping me solve this mystery. The CV's may not be Porsche afterall, they may be from a Vanagon we had...that makes sense. I believe the axles are off the 914 though... how many splines should a 914-6 have?

I will measure the CV's.

914-6 CV's will be 93 mm just like the -4. Can't find reference on -6 spline count. So the axles most likely are -6.

25 splines per below.

Is the distributor also for sale? Does it have a make/model number on it? Looks like a 6 cylinder...

Your CVs are definitely Vanagon 1968-91 by part number; these are different from 914-6
