I've gotten to the point where I've decided that I really need a new cell phone. Actually, the State of Connecticut has made that decision for me in that they just passed a new "Handsfree while driving" law. I've got a headset for my current cell phone, but I prefer to go to a wireless Bluetooth headset.

I use my cell phone a lot. It is my main means of communication for both business and personal. I don't even answer the phone at home anymore because it is never for me.

I've been looking at all the phones out there and I think that I've narrowed it down to two. Either a Nokia 6620 or a Motorola RAZR V3. Both of these phones have a lot of bell and whistles that I don't need (camera, etc.) but most phones today have all this crap. My past four cell phones have been Nokia models, so I'm comfortable with that. But, the Motorola RAZR V3 has gotten my attention primarily because it is so small and light.

Do anyone have any experience with, or input on, the Motorola RAZR V3?

Thanks

Get an old rotary, with the thingy that glues on, so you can hold it on your shoulder.

According to June issue of Wired magazine, the Motorola only works on Cingular. No problem if that's what you've got. And it's expensive.

Well, I just got back from the Cingular store (yes, I had Cingular). It seems that I'm not allowed to buy a new cell phone just for myself. Since I was getting one, EVERYBODY had to get one. For three phones including Bluetooth headsets, car chargers, etc, I wound up spending over $700. (Remember when your parents had the same telephone in their house for over 30 years?)

I bought myself the RAZR. It is extremely light and the sound quality is much better than my old Nokia. If I don't like it, I can return it within 30 days. We'll see how it works out.

I use a BlackBerry 7100G, and a RAZR. Love them both...

I have the Razr, works great. Took me a bit to figure it out, but once you do, you can customize it to your likings fairly easy...

I think the RAZR is cool but you will need to treat it carefully. I manage a cell phone program for 4000 people and you should see the busted up RAZR's - broken hinge, bent (as in "I left it in my back pocket, sat down and heard it break."), even one that was eaten by a pit bull. Have fun with the new toy! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

I think a two year contract is required to get the $200. I am suprised to see the price drop so quickly. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif)
