Contemplating replacing my seat belts for 944 units. From what I have read here, the pin in the back needs to be removed. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif)

My question is; Will the standard late 914 receptacle work with the 944 belt or I also need to replace the receptacle for a matched 944 one?

TIA (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Hi, the 944 belts are bolt in, no need to remove the pin on a 73 plus car.

As for the receiver, the rectangular hole 944 belt clip will insert properly in the 914 receptacle designed for a round hole. You will hear it click but the "Press" button will not fully go out.

I had this setup hold in a pretty severe front end collision and the belts did their job.

I would use the 944 receptacle to be 100% safe.
