The turbo had 1,200 ponys. This had about 650 hp.

Schweeet! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/aktion035.gif) One of my all time favorite cars.

Last time I saw #20 it was being loaded on a transporter as I was walking to lunch...not sure if it subsequently returned to the location where it resided before that, or not.

I don't remember so much crackle on the overrun/decel it the (depressingly few) NA 917's I've heard...I wonder if it was running properly that day, or was way rich or something?

What was that?

Why would one take such a car to such a small/tight track?

Was there any other cars on the track?

Perhaps they were learning how to drive?

Looks like a fun track car though.

Hmmmm, I just had an idea....

Buy a 917 and have people pay for rides around the track. Like flying in those old WWII bombers.

Several years ago I watched Chock Stoddard, in his 917 coupe, play with a Lola and a few other cars at Mosport Park. A few years ago I saw a 917 run at Watkins Glen. Someone mentioned at the time that the cars (917's) had to run vintage tires (IE 70's tires) since nothing was available in the correct size & compound currently. So, they had to take it easy so as not to blow a tire.

There is supposed to be one at the Mt-Tremblant Sommet des Légendes next month.
I cant wait to see and hear it.
By the way there will be a special parking for P cars:
Rennsort Porsche Corral

It would be nice to meet there if others are planning to go.
