There's a whole bunch of cars listed all over the place on Yahoo for sale right now. Same cars with same VIN numbers at dozens of different cities.

When you inquire... you get the schpiel about the owner moving to the UK, and they want the funds sent via some secure method, etc.

Blah blah...

$8300 seems kinda low. Did I read it correctly? 2005 Ford GT40 for $8300? What did I miss? Gotta be a scam at that price.
Cheers, Elliot

I think I have the address for a police station in Minneapolis. I wonder if I responded to the ad and asked them to bring it by for a inspection what would happen? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/cool_shades.gif)

Hey, be careful what you say about my new car. I just contacted the seller and will be sending the money in the morning via Western Union wire transfer. He is actually located over in Somalia and will have the paperwork transferred to me within 2 weeks of recieving the funds. I am so excited!!!

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sheeplove.gif)

Oh, he is also having it shipped directly to me for an extra $3k.

Sure you can duplicate the front hood and maybe fenders but the windshield shape and rake (whole greenhouse), door cut lines, and rear proportions are different from the 914...

I sent a check yesterday and now they want me to send another.
Something about title service and a surcharge for my second party out of state check. I am not sure, but I'm going to sent the additional 4k in the morning.
I don't want to miss out. The guy on the phone said I was being paranoid.
What's wrong with me?
I have got to learn to trust people.

I would have said $8300 is high for that car but then I read that the 228 miles on it were mostly highway miles. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/idea.gif)

The Eagle kit was a copy of a Dino.

There is a GT-40 kit (a buddy has one) but it's a bug base kit.

I found what I thought was a good deal several months ago on a 2002 Audi S4 Avant.

blk/blk w/a 6spd in it.Found it in carsdirect.com.Lots a pics,from the pics,owner spent a lot of money on upgrades.price was 14,500. for car.

Car was supposadly located in Mich.

Got the same story when we e-m'd the owner about driving up to look at the car.
Same B.S. He wanted money up front just for an address.A complete. scam.Stay away.

Humm. Doesn't the FGT have a Transaxle?

I wonder what Ford wants for just the engine and the trans. Do you think it would fit in a teener?
