It was my daily driver until the engine went out. It's been sitting for a couple of years.
I'll take current pictures tomorrow. $700 OBO It is still available, since I haven't taken any action since that day. It will need to be gone by this coming weekend to appease the local code enforcement folks. Here's some more details. 1974 1.8 appearance group, center console and such. Bahia red, with black painted frunk and aftermarket luggage rack. 1911 built for 40IDF carbs which ran great until I wiped a cam lobe or something. One valve cover is probably still off of it, I'm not sure. Weber redline 40IDF carbs intact. Pretty rusty. The floorboard under the seats weakened to the point that the drivers seat lowered itself while driving one day, luckily I was working at AA at the time and they welded in a support. The support for the battery tray is completely gone, and there is a makeshift tray to hold the battery in place utilizing a rod to help support the tray, and a bungee cord to hold the battery in. Assume that there is more rust. BMW brakes on the front. Marathon beetle wheels. At least one of the window cranks isn't working, I think. (It's been a while) Non functional speedometer and clock. Ignition switch hanging from dash to be started with a screwdriver. Sunvisors are in my basement somewhere, I'll try to find them. Grey cloth inserts on seats. Aftermarket CD player and speakers that don't work that great. I still haven't taken more pictures, but I will tomorrow when I'm off from work. Thank you for your patience. |

Make an offer.
Pretty hard for anyone to make an offer with so little detail. You have to pick a price but can say or best offer. When in doubt start high. Sounds like a parts car. |

I just remembered...
One of the engine lid mounts is broken, or maybe the screw is just out of it from when I was working on it this last time. Either way, the engine lid isn't attached. |

I'll uncover it tomorrow, or when I get home today, and get it cleaned up a bit.
I have older pictures of it, but like I said, it's been sitting for a couple of years. I'll have pictures by tomorrow afternoon. It looks a lot like this. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/red914.jpg) |

Here are a few pics to start with.
It's cold and windy outside, and I've got a cold or something, so I haven't cleaned it up yet. I'll get out there again later for better pictures. It was originally silver, as you can see on the undersides of the trunk lids. |

Parts value is worth that much. The chrome bumpers look to be in good shape.
Just those and some interior pieces (console) will get you to $700. That's not even counting motor/transmission and other bits. |
