Hi, I don't have original distributor and have stock 1.8/with single carb. Am in the middle of going through the whole car and replacing parts. Am looking for a good choice for a distributor for not to much money. Have read the svda 034 is a good choice for a general purpose dizzy? Looking on eBay at "hot spark" brand but not to many reviews. Any thoughts would be appreciated thanks.

Do you know what distributor is currently installed? If by any luck you've got a stock 1.8 dist, that's the best one for carbs IMHO.
The Pertronix distributor only work well with the Pertronix Ignitor, and don't do well converted back to points. You want to make sure you get the correct coil for the Ignitor you are getting, you've got to match the ohms |
