I'm replacing the points and condenser on my '75 1.8 with L Jet and the black rubber insulator on the green wire that is supposed to fit in the square hole on the side of the 009 distributor body is too hard to push into the hole. Last time I encountered this I trimmed the ears off of the rubber insulator and used some silicone sealant to secure the insulator in the hole. Not the best solution. Anybody have an easy way to get the rubber insulator into the hole without cutting it up?
