Thanks to Dr. Evil and Jeff (and all the Ladies and Gents), I learned a lot and had a chance to practice on most of the transaxles. So today I decided to reinforce, practice and discover he state of my 901. . .

Pinion looks chipped a bit, scynchros look shot, and the speedo gear lock bolt threads look like they had been heli-coiled (which has failed- figured something was up with all the zip ties). Guess it was rebuilt at some point, but this car had 238k on it.

I would never have been able to open this box up without your guidance, Doc- mil grazie!

What a fantastic event! Great company, great coaching, great progress.

Thanks to Jeff for hosing, and the good Doctor and April for making the trip.

BTW - might be a good idea to get proper oil into the newly rebuilt boxes and coat everything to make sure no surface rust happens if it is going to sit for awhile.
