Sounds like a recipe for a grenade? I was surprised you can add a draw thru turbo cheap on a vw type 1 to double the hp. I had a 2110 running about 15lbs of boost was about 240hp I think |

Mine was built by FAT Performance 15 years ago. Dyno. test showed 147 hp at 5500rpm. 2.2 liter type IV with 44idf Webers. 8.25:1 CR. Good low end torque and fun engine to drive. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
(Holy $hit, that was 15 years ago)??!!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) |

3.2: 235.5 @ 6440 Pretty good for 3.2, is this at the flywheel or Crank? Is this Motronic or Carbs? At the crank. Motronic, 10.2 Mahle Nickasil P&Cs, Web 20/21 camshafts and Tangerine Evo 6 headers. Small port heads. Date on the dyno sheet is when they installed the dyno. My power runs were done in November 2017. Attached File(s) 914SIX_Run_2.pdf ( 56.24k ) Number of downloads: 24 |

0 HP , motor still laying in pieces on work bench (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I'd be content with ~90HP right now ... another month maybe?

Pluses and minuses I guess... gets terrible mpg, but oh man the sound! Luckily its not my dd. |

I'd be interested to see what my engine puts out. It's a 3.0 with J&E pistons (10.5:1), webcam GE60 cams and PMO 46mm. It is actually pretty sluggish until around 3k RPM then it kicks in. Not the best for driving around town.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) Good figures for a 2.2,everthing I have read about there engines points to them being bullet proof. A friend had a 3.0 FAT T4 in his buggy he imported from the USA ,it made huge power and cleaned up where ever he raced it in my country. |

Hi What are you getting and from what size and spec aircooled engine ? I'll start My 1911cc with mild cam and twin 40 Dellortos, 050 distributor and Bursch exhaust gave 115bhp last time it was on the rollers That's good to see. I have a similar setup. Differences are 40IDF's with 28mm venturis, 9550 cam and Mallory Unilite. Based on previous 912's and 911T's I've owned/driven, I'd say I'm in the same ballpark. This 914 is quicker. Was in a backroads drive a few years back with a couple of 356 S90's behind me. They couldn't hang. Wish list would be better exhaust. I don't like the Bursch. |
