How much would you expect to pay for an original 914-6 engine that is in need of a rebuild? I have the engine serial number code... where can one verify that it's an actual original 6 from a 914?

I bought a core 914-6 long block from a member here
a few years ago for 3500.00. It turns over freely and has 2.0 āSā pistons and cylinders and Solex Cams.. Needs a rebuild though. It might just end up in my 6 as a driver. My original engine is sitting on a shelf with 30,000 miles on it. A small engine will go into my car without issue and not run too hot. How fast can You really Drive a car where you live.?? I like My insurance rates the way they are. No tickets In years and that matters when you are insuring 5 cars and a motorcycle.. |
