I was doing research years ago on the Alfa wagon, we stumbled across one of the 12 ever built. They were support vehicles for the Factory race team, they built 3 a year. I found this pic of one towing a 914, presumably at the track.

That looks like it could be one of the Monte Carlo 914 GT rallye cars.
Just looking at the placement of the stickers. Neat pic! |

Interesting photo. Thanks for posting. Do you have that Alfa? I did for a couple of days, I tracked down the original owner, a former Alfa Dealer, who had bought it at the Factory. He quickly bought it back and put it with it's brothers, he already owned 3 of the 12 ever made, but this was the only one he had bought from the Factory, he was very excited. This was the guy I bought it from, AKA Mr. Alfa! Attached thumbnail(s) |

Forgot about the practice cars for the Targa. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

The best part about the deal was the car was deep in Brooklyn, Sheepshead's Bay, I call the guy up and was talking about the car, but asked if it was really a wagon, I had never heard of the wagon. His response was soooo Brooklyn,
"Well, I'm FUCKIN' lookin' at it!" Great guy, great car. Attached image(s) |
