I just bought it today after having it thoroughly inspected by Black Forest Porsche of San Diego. Can't wait to have it shipped here to MN. Final price was $65k.
It has a fresh '83 3.0 liter 911 engine, 915 gearbox with LSD, 964 front brakes, WEVO shifter, leather interior (!), show quality paint, new bumpers, all new rubber, refinished 16" Fuchs, Patrick Motorsports 914/6 oil cooler and SS heater boxes, high quality Blaupunkt radio, etc. My feeling is if you don't have an original six, the value of a conversion is only in the quality of the components and the workmanship. While not "collectible" a conversion's ultimate value is more correlated with replacement/build cost. |
