Hey guys! I called Cip1 today and the rep wasn't sure if I could use the CSP bellcrank linkage on my 914 due to the fact that the Type 4 model states fits 911 fan shroud. I found an older thread here with some links but I want to make sure I'm ordering the correct item.

I have a 4 cyl model with Dellorto 40's. I'm thinking it would be the Type 4 version for IDF but just want to double check here.

Thanks Mblizzard !! Did you also get the return spring? I believe there are two different ones (one for steel and other for billet stand)

I didn't install a return spring -- the ones on the carbs do the trick. Actually requires a lot more accelerator pedal force now (vs my old cross-bar linkage), due to the new linkage geometry.

Had this on my parts list for my restoration project. Wouldn't have known about the 20% sale without this thread. Just ordered one. Thanks! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif)

That is the best thing about being here is that you learn a lot and can actually help people. Of course most of the time others are helping me.

Bummer. Mine arrived on Friday but there was only one in the box which is what I had ordered. I hope they shipped a second one to you right away.

Unfortunately, I have to wait on whoever received my order to ship it to me. I guess they already have the labels from CiP1 so how knows when I'll get it. CiP1 doesn't want to ship another kit from Canada which is understanding. Bit concerned that they didn't even contact me to let me know what happen.

Ok so why not cancel your order and reorder?

Not your responsibility or the other person to sort out their mess.

Agreed! I'll give them another 48hrs on this. I understand goof ups happen and I'm not in a real rush since I'm working on my CV's at the moment.
