$4600
Car in good condition
VIN 4722910197, engine EA 008627; trans 914111HA0039912, currently tangerine, original color was Bahia Red (L30E).
The transmission is a problem, hence more of a project/parts car then an operating classic car.
The transmission may be internally damaged as shifting even at the tailshift arm is difficult to put in gear. neutral slider works. Suggesting a replacement/rebuild.
I've tried numerous times to get all gears operational from shifter but it won't go into 2nd, and likely 4th (haven't had enough speed to find out).
1.7 engine, past owner (for some reason—unknown) put in 1.8 engine injectors, intake and computer. It functions well. Injectors were serviced by Mr. Injector, new fuel pump.
Nice tires and wheels
Battery tray is sound
Hell hole is ok.
New refurbished brakes by PMB
Many new 914 rubber parts—door seals, door thresholds, trunk rubber, vertical targa window seals
New dash and front seal, no dash cracks
New windshield and rubber seal.
New carpet, new speakers, new radio antenna.
Stainless heat exchangers
Pretty sound metal over all.
Nice bumpers and tops.
The under sides look bad but it’s a buildup of undercoating. It could be stripped down or left alone.
Did replace the metal under the seats, placed sound matting, replace seat mounting hinges. Both seats have working hardware with handles.
Paint is not bad, daily driver quality, there are a couple of bubbled area-at the front turn signal lens and up the left front fender.
Shifter has all new bushings.
Real nice interior, used carpet instead of leather backpad.
Seat belts function as expected.
Engine seems to be strong in acceleration and response well to throttle.
wheels in pretty good condition, lots of tread left on tires
side panels are in good shape, no rust underneath them.

To do:

Rear trunk lid needs to be painted.
Engine cover doesn’t close right. Overhangs to trunk so it doesn’t close right now.
Some rubber in the engine tin needs to be installed.
Heat cable needs installed, have the flapper valves and all hoses, need the barrel nuts.
Suspect the shocks and suspension could be refurbished, but the car rides ok currently.

It’s a project to finish if you have the time and desire. With a little more time and attention it will back on the road. Could chose to refurbish—it’s a good candidate.

price to $5300
I doubt you will find a more complete car in this condition for less.
It is a good candidate for updating.

reduced price, updated text. see original posting.
I really believe now the transmission may have an internal problem. repair/replace may make this into a nice daily driver.
Listing as parts or project car. Its a solid car.
