Well tire shop just called and the other 2 are junk as well. What a shame 1k worth of tires with almost no miles on them are junk..

I'd be very suspicious about that tire shop.

Go and look at the tires and make sure they didn't mess them up trying to mount them.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Did you pay for the tires or were they “thrown in” with the wheels.

Well long story short. Bought an 87 911 and these tires were on the wheels on the car. Had just put the tires on and drove to my place. The guy decided he didn't want to pay for all the fixes the car needed so I bought it. Then sold the car to a guy who didn't want the wheels so I kept them for my project. Then late last year the guy contacted me about buying the wheels so he had the date matched wheels I said no way. Then relented and he traded the same Fuchs for mine so had to have the perfectly good tires off. And that's where everything went sideways.

So a good deal became a not so good deal. But I doubt the seller had any idea. It happens.

I would still just use some roller wheels and tires until you’re ready to drive. I wish I hadn’t purchased the tires for my GT car four years ago.

So for now I bought some firestone " performance AS" tires. Same size as what I had. $370 mounted out the door with rebate.

To wrap up this story .. I have new tires mostly for roller, testing, and cruising until I decide what my final wheel/tire combo will be. Again great price and still rated to 118mph..
