Can anyone steer me in the right direction I have the chance to buy some 6x15 Fuchs dated 8/73 and 7/73 they appear to have a heart shape at the valve stems and look pretty decent for a driver are these worth 1500.00 and what pit falls should I look for (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

I did not know what date the hearts were made but they go from $500-1000 each.

1973 wheels would not have hearts
They would have to be the “flat” style of Fuchs and not the more valuable deep style by 1973

It’s been a few years but I haven’t seen too much price escalation on Fuchs. Those are desirable matching years, but non deep 6s sell all the time for 1000 to 1200 for driver quality sets. Look for gouging in the lug sockets, pitting on the face, flaking of the anodizing, deep curb rash on the lips.

Pit falls???
Unless your car has already been modified to accept the five lug wheels, you are going to have to spend money on that too.

Get some 16" reproduction wheels and save $$$. No refinishing required. Lots of choices including Boxster, 911, 944. Good tire selection too.

I like real Fuchs. Lighter, stronger, look better and have been steadily climbing in price. I doubt they will ever go down. The 911 crowd provides a strong demand for them.

That’s the most important part.
