Saw that. It would be neat if it came back to Colorado.
Grady was a great man, glad I got to share time on this earth with him. |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Thanks for sharing the picture Michael... We really had a great time when he visited our shop and we got to go visit a local collectors "classic Porsche museum" and have a beer or two together. A man that was a wikipedia of Porsche knowledge and always willing to share it with others... |

Very cool. Sold Grady a 912 a few years before he passed. It was Litterly shedding rust on my garage floor. I knew he was in bad health as we talked for hours. He was a good man.. Wonder what happend to the 912 now..

Takes me back a while as I used to own 756-1001 and my very good friend Dan had one of the 904's. I forget his serial number. Those could have been our cars in that poster. Thanks for posting it and I hope Grady's car winds up back here!! Ron Anthony in MD |

he had two 914-6 s one is still in CO,,bare tub...oops maybe one, I read somewhere he saved a 914-6 for his son ???
2004 pelican parts 9140430220 bought for $300 What to do? I am unsure as to what I should do with the 914/6 that I purchased for a good price last week, and I am seeking the wisdom and knowledge of the members of this forum. I have a couple different options available to me. The first is to keep it and restore it, which I would love to do, but do not have the time nor the resources ($$$). The second option that I can see is to sell it as is and make a decent profit. The third choice is to take the parts that I need, part out the rest, and sell the body. Finally the last option is to take what I need, part out the rest, and send the body to the crusher (which I would hate to do). Of these four options I think I am leaning more towards option three, take what I need (suspension, sway bars, oil tank, oil cooler, fuel cell and a few little things), and then sell the body/parts. I know I may hate myself for letting a real six go, but I just don't have the time, money, or space to keep it and restore it. Thanks in advance for your input. Attached image(s) |

I am that guy in Elizabeth. Sold it to a guy in Nederland about 2 years ago. He had bought most of Grady's parts after he passed. Which included the engine and transmission for this car. I have tons of pictures from when I was the steward of 9140430220.

Ferg,
We met a few years back at the transmission clinic Dr. Evil did in Denver. I shared a table with Ross. I will try and fill in some of the gaps. I have been meaning to post about this car for a long time now. Matt |
