The rims I can sell for $800. And yes, I know I am still considered on the high side for these, but any less and I will keep them.
With the current tires on them I will sell for $950. I have put new tires on all 5 rims. Current tires are Nokian eNTYRE All-Season Radial Tire - 195/60R15 92H. They are wider than stock tires, but they fit perfectly under my stock fenders. The tires have about 50 miles on them. I paid $52 a piece on Amazon and $50 to get them all mounted, so the tires alone I have $300 into it. They will need new center caps, as the originals were damaged on removal. Shipping would be extra, and I can ship them any way the buyer wants to. Local pickup is always a possibility. I would be willing to drive 100 miles in any direction to help. My location is zip code 48838. email me at tatiffany32@gmail.com |

I see you are new. Mahle wheels are known for bending and warping. Not anybody's first choice.

Not anybody's first choice. IDK if Id go that far, but they are the lightest of the OE /4 wheels & cast so yes they are often found to be bent after 40 yrs (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) |

I see you are new. Mahle wheels are known for bending and warping. Not anybody's first choice. So you would definitely not autocross with them? I want to do so, and I really think it would be a shame to tarnish such nice originals. I need to get enough for them to at least pay for some aftermarkets. I got my hopes up by seeing two different ebay auctions with asking prices of $1900 an.d $2300 respectively. Mine are a complete set of 5, and all of them look good as new. I realize that asking prices on ebay are pretty far from sold prices. But the last set of 4, that looked pretty rough, went for $500 I don't need that kind of money, but I would feel pretty ill to get less than $1k for them. Would I be better off breaking up the set and selling them 1 at a time? |

They look nice but like everyone said, they just don’t bring big money. They should be fine to autocross as long as you don’t stuff them in a pothole. They are cast and very soft so they bend easily. It doesn’t matter what you need or what reproductions sell for new, the market for a nice set of mahles is around $6-800 for 5.

If they are strong enough to autocross, and I doubt any proper autocross course includes potholes, then I will perhaps keep them. As has been noted, and clearly identified by my newbie status, I am new to the 914 world. I apologize if my newness shows. The boards have been a big help on my decisions for starter upgrades, and I will be looking for plenty of advice in the future. Cheers to all. |

Keep 'em and run 'em. They look like a nice set of wheels.
Unfortunately, way too often, people pay more that they should for stuff on ebay ... ask me how I know (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) - but that was before I knew there were great folks on a few 914 forums who offer nice parts for reasonable prices (most of the time). "Baby Burners"? Sure that's the right terminology ?
Sounds kinda mean, you know... like burning babies maybe ? Maybe they're called something else that sounds close to that . |

Prices that you see on this site posted by longstanding members are a pretty good measuring stick. Nice looking wheels, you should just run them on the car. |

I love the look of the 4-lug Mahles. The community seems to have a preference for the 4-lug Fuchs alloys, but I prefer the Mahles. Can't speak for the alleged softness of the alloy except to say that I drive my car on the street and after 20 years the Mahles are still straight.

The boys on here are pretty good fellows. Nobody in the World knows more than they regarding 914 cars. Welcome, and don't be intimidated by their technical jargon. They get right into it. |

I took no offense to anyone’s comments. I’m learning the ropes, and guys are helping me do so. If anything, I know what I have now, and am better off for it.
If anyone does want the set for $1k with attached tires, I would sell them. Meanwhile, I’m proud to have such a nice set of OEM originals. |

I love Mahles. Glad you are keeping them.
I got mine on EBay and was lucky: Five with almost new tires for $325! Plus the seller was less than 80 miles away. Very lucky to score a straight set! Attached image(s) |
