I am going to replace the windshield to dash rubber. Is this the finished vent? It looks like something is missing.

He’s right....that’s all there is.
Are you taking out the windshield to replace the windshield to dash rubber?
Like to hear how this little job goes.....

I ordered one from 914Rubber that I am told can be done without removing the windshield.

I replaced mine with the windshield in. Used a plastic upholstery tool to push it in place.
Looks like the vinyl shrinkage causes the gap. If I replaced the dash vinyl probably add a little foam to get a better fit to the vents.
